Mildred & Richard Loving were married in 1958, they didn’t know they were breaking the law. Within a month, police burst into their bedroom in the middle of the night & arrested them under the Virginia’s anti-miscegenation law. The case went all the way to the US Supreme Court. In 1967, in a landmark Civil Rights ruling, the court struck down America’s laws against interracial marriage.
